I need your help. Students are constantly asking me the best websites for Bible study and sermon preparation. I also assign them to watch videos of expository sermons, so they also need websites where they can find them. So I thought I would just throw this open and ask for your help. Could you please comment and let me know your favorite sites that you use for any of the above?
One other thing. I LOVE good humor, but I am asking for serious responses to this one. Save funny links for another post.

For videos, might I suggest www.sermonaudio.com, there they will find audio as well as video sermons. There are acouple of blogs that I would also recommend that deal with sermon preparation. One is biblicalpreaching.net amd the other is unashamedworkman.wordpress.com.
I hope this is helpful.
Dr. York, last week I attended T4G with an old friend of yours - David Pitman; at least he remembers you. I enjoy your blog, and listen to your chapel messages as often as I can. I especially enjoyed and benefitted from your faculty address "The Well-Tempered Cleric."
Now as to the matter of your post; the following websites are frequented by me during my preparation.
A.W.Pink's Archive
Blue Letter Bible
Christian Classics Ethereal Library
Criswell Sermon Library
Desiring God Resource Library
Grace to You transcripts
9Marks
Fire & Ice
Spurgeon Archive
When I want to watch an expository sermon I visit Grace to You's website and Parkside Church's website.
Thank you for your ministry.
Dr. York,
http://www.monergism.com/
This is a site I really don't use as much as I should. It really has a vast array of links to sermons, articles, and books. It I don't think they have video available, but they do have many maunscripts as well as audio.
Grace and Peace,
Andrew
Two I like:
http://preachers.wordpress.com/
and
http://unashamedworkman.wordpress.com/
I like sermoncentral.com
For visuals, worshiphousemedia.com or my favorite is sermonspice.com.
powerpointsermons.com I get some good ideas for particular passages to preach/teach on by going to powerpointsermons.com. They have good titles and artwork associated with various scriptures that help get some homoletical juices flowing to make good, relevant, creative and solid applications.
Expository Thoughts and Biblical Preaching would be two good blogs on preaching.
Dr. York,
For quick Greek parsing information, I use www.zhubert.com. This is great for the guy who doesn't yet have the Logos or Libronix collections.
I miss your classes, by the way. It has been a blessing working under Troy, however. Take care.

Dear Dr. York,
I am afraid I am no good at providing the link format.. but there are several places I look for material that I have found useful and fruitful for humour and good exegetical outlines:
Colonial Baptist Church -- Cary, North Carolina
http://www.fbcodessa.com/
Wooster Grace Brethren Church
Travis Avenue Baptist Church - Online Sermons
Sunrise Wesleyan Church - Sermon Archive
Words of Life Ministries with Francis Dixon
Ridgecrest Sermons
Ken Trivette
Charlotte Chapel, Edinburgh
Green Acres BC Bible Message Archive
Bayside Online
Sermons of Silverdale Baptist Church, Chattanooga
May I ask, are there particular types of sermons better suited to the different educational and socio-economic standards in the USA? A Thesis question!
Steve
I found one that I think is pretty good.
www.heargodspeak.blogspot.com
Your mileage may vary.
Dr. York,
It is amazing how often I find good illustrations on or through wikipedia. Just type in the subject of your sermon or a related point and start chasing links to various articles. It is very easy to find historical or scientific illustrations in this manner. The good articles on wikipedia have citations that enable the discerning preacher to verify the accuracy of the story he wishes to use in a sermon.
Thanks for all you do,
Chris Bonts
The Vossed World is a great site that wrestles with biblical interpretation and preaching the whole Bible as Christian Scripture.
Hi Dr. York, I have found this amazing resource on-line that has an unbelievable amount of commentaries, historical, original language and theological books online. The web-site is:
http://www.biblecentre.net/
I think your students will find is collectively to be the most complete library. While they do take donations, they currently don't require a log-on to access the information.
Also see:

http://www.puritansermons.com/
http://www.biblebb.com/
Of course I find that listening to good exposition helps me as well and John Piper has been an immeasurable resource to me in this since all he does is posted at desiringgod.org (text, audio and many on video) for free.
Hope this helps someone!
In Christ,
Ronnie

I have to say that as great as the info at biblecenter.net is I can no longer recommend it as it seems that it is illegal. I paid $20 for my membership so I assumed it was on the up and up. So this, I'm sad to say, would not be a good recommendation to your students Dr. York (and everyone else!)
In Christ,
Ronnie
